Virtual Lunches with the Interim Head of School

As Friends School transitions leadership over the coming school year, an important role of the interim head of school is to take in information and insights from the community. To that end, Dennis Bisgaard will host a series of virtual lunches for all alumni -- some focused on a particular area of interest at Friends, and some for identity based affinity groups. (For the identity based affinity groups, if you can speak from the ‘I’ perspective, the group is for you.)

These Zoom lunches will give alumni the chance to share their thoughts as we move into the future of Friends School. Please join Dennis - he cannot wait to meet you!

Friday, October 1 @ 12 pm –  All Alumni

Wednesday, October 13 @ 12 pm – BIPOC Alumni Affinity Space (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color)

Thursday, November 4 @ 12 pm –  LGBTQ+ Alumni Affinity Space (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer or Questioning +)

Thursday, November 18 @ 12 pm –  Arts Alumni Interest Group

Wednesday, December 8 @ 12 pm –  Athletics Alumni Interest Group

Register for any or all of these virtual lunches here.

If there is an interest group or identity based affinity group that you would like to recommend for a lunch session, or if you cannot attend any of these times but are interested in meeting with Dennis, please e-mail the Alumni Office at

Alumni Weekend 2021

Hundreds of alumni from the classes ending in 0, 1, 5, and 6 joined us for Alumni Weekend 2021. On April 29 - May 1, 2021, the Alumni Office hosted a number of engaging virutal events including a campus tour, "Collection" remarks from Head of School Matt Micciche, the 2020 & 2021 Alumni Award Ceremonies, virtual Meeting for Worship, and virtual trivia. Many classes gathered for their Reunions, some in person, some virtual, and some a hybrid of both!

A highlight of the weekend were the Alumni Award Ceremonies. The Distinguished Alumni Awards, Outstanding Alumni Service Awards, and Honorary Alumni Award are presented at this annual celebration (which is typically a luncheon on campus).
